Make-up Picture Day
Hello Hidden Valley Families!
Congratulations on surviving Halloween on a weeknight! Next, get ready for a day off this Friday as we honor Veterans Day, and then an entire week (November 13-17) of 11:45 am dismissal for all grades, TK-5th. Your reward for making it through all of that is an entire week off, November 20-24. Then it is the home stretch to the end of 2023!
There isn’t much else to report from the PTO. Please reach out if you have any questions!
Have a great week!

YES PARTICIPATION MONTH!
The YES Foundation participation and giving initiative has begun. We are at 30% participation throughout the RVSD and are asking EVERY family to donate what they can during this month of gratitude and giving. It is so important for the majority of the RVSD to support arts education for ALL children.

Two call nights from parent/guardian volunteers asking for your support at ANY level
YES DRAWING CONTEST!
The YES Foundation is putting on a drawing contest! Flyers will be going home in backpacks soon (if you didn’t receive them already). Have your child draw a monster eating their favorite treat! They can draw on the back of the flyer or on a blank 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. Have them turn it into the main office by November 29th (don’t forget to put their name & grade)! Swirl will be donating a gift certificate for a free ice cream to one winner from each grade!

Walk and Roll for Ruby on November 15
Join a national celebration of the spirit of Ruby Bridges who, as a six-year old African American in Louisiana in the 1950s, successfully helped to integrate an all-white school. It was Ruby’s daily walk to school, despite bullying and threats, that we’ll celebrate together by walking, rolling, carpooling, or parking-and-walking to school. Come to the Safe Routes to Schools’ welcome table on the morning of Nov. 15 to receive a prize!
We hope you'll join us at one of our Family Orientations. Register for November 6 at Hamilton School here or for November 15 at Hidden Valley here.
